Software Test Engineer

Summary:

Clinical Architecture is seeking a Software Test Engineer in the Indianapolis, IN area who will be responsible for validating windows and web-based applications. This position requires a strong knowledge of front and backend testing. The candidate must have experience creating and executing manual test cases to verify all applications meet requirements, as well as the ability to create SQL queries to verify data.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze software requirements
  • Design, document, and maintain test cases and other applicable test artifacts
  • Executing tests on software for functionality and usability
  • Detect and track defects, re-testing to ensure a proper resolution is implemented
  • Validate software performance
  • Participating in design reviews
  • Support automation team providing test scenarios and data
  • Communicate with Engineering concerning reported issues
  • Communicate with Product Management concerning requirements

 

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Associates in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience
  • Working experience with software test tools
  • Ability to handle fast-paced environments with tight deadlines
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrates accuracy, thoroughness, and attention to detail
  • Highly motivated, committed, and reliable
  • Experience with web based, windows based, and web services testing
  • Ability to be a team-player, yet also be self-motivated
  • Ability to overcome test cycle obstacles
  • Flexible, with ability to switch projects when needed
  • Aptitude to learn new skills and complex applications
  • Understanding of test life cycle and testing techniques
