Clinical Informaticist

Clinical Architecture is seeking a Clinical Informaticist in the Indianapolis, IN area to help grow and enhance the Interoperability Services team. This team is responsible for leveraging the Symedical application to effectively map client’s local terminologies to appropriate standards. This position involves strategic and tactical decision making and will be integral to the evolution of Clinical Architecture’s services strategy and approach.


  • •  Recruit and manage interoperability team resources
  • •  Develop and maintain highly effective, pragmatic processes to streamline the services’ team workflow
  • •  Work with software and knowledge engineering to enhance and evolve Symedical based on services experience
  • •  Collaborate with clients to tune and optimize interoperability service results
  • •  Participate in interoperability services activities as needed

 Qualifications and Experience

  • •  Clinical or Health Information Management background
  • •  Working knowledge of standard terminologies (SNOMEDCT, LOINC, RxNorm, CPT) is required
  • •  A master’s degree in Clinical Informatics or equivalent experience is preferred
  • •  Clinical terminology mapping experience is preferred
  • •  Working knowledge of HL7, FHIR, and other healthcare messaging standards is a plus
